The Independent Living pilot IPTV project (ILC) has been in operation for almost a month now, and in that time a lot has happened. We seem to be building a rapidly expanding network of content providers from a widening range of public sector agencies, as well our project partners and interested parties at local, regional [...] We’re now two weeks into the Independent Living Campaign pilot and already the results are very positive. With only 20 homes connected, we’ve had over 200 log ins to the service. The most popular programing is the Armchair Exercises series, designed to help maintain mobility (54 views) and introductions to the Handyvans service (37 views) [...] The home monitoring element of the STREAM Independent Living service has been further enhanced with Andy and his team deploying sensors that track energy consumption and hot water temperature. The additions will allow us to present residents with an interactive Carbon Footprint calculator on their television, and will help Hull Council track the energy efficiency [...] |
